Disclaimer: If you are not aware, this blog is the personal blog (Erin Apelu) I set up 3 years ago to post pictures I took of my boys and their friends playing football. As the years passed I began including all the varsity (as many as possible with my non-professional camera) and continued to post them on this blog. While I am aware that many of you might not see your picture on this blog (if you were playing that night), rest assured we (Aryana and myself) do try and get as much of the team as we are able to. The pictures near the end of each post are usually of my family, my kids and some of their friends. I include them on these posts because it is easier for everyone to copy whatever pictures they want without me having to send them all individually. Thanks--Erin Apelu!

Granite 7 on 7 May 30, 2015 at Taylorsville High School

Taylorsville had the opportunity to host the Granite District 7 on 7 football tournament for the upcoming 2015 football season. Taylorsville started off with a disappointing lose against Kearns, but finished off the day with nothing but wins under their belt from Cyprus, Granger and Hunter. The final game played (semi-final) against Olympus was cut short when both teams were disqualified due to irreconcilable differences pertaining to the rules. Therefore, no winner was decided for the entire event and the four remaining schools went home discouraged. Regardless, the Taylorsville Warriors had a fun filled day.

Now onto the Ute Shoot next Saturday!

FYI: I took pictures at high speed and it's easier for me to upload all 450 pictures then to go through and delete similar ones.

Taylorsville Lineman Challenge vs Pleasant Grove High School

Yesterday Taylorsville hosted a Lineman Challenge on our field. Unfortunately Pleasant Grove was the only high school to show up and participate. We are grateful for the fun time that they helped provide. I speak for all of us when I say, a good time was had by all. Please enjoy some highlights from the excitement.

Bingham Seven on Seven's 2015-2016 Varsity and JV

And so it begins, a new season of football officially kicked off last night when the Taylorsville Warriors came in 2nd place (out of 4) at the Bingham 7 on 7's.
A 7 on 7 game consists of 20 minutes total, each team getting a full 10 minutes of offense against the other team and then switching.

We played Lone Peak, Bingham, and ended with Herriman.

Enjoy some highlights from the games.
