Disclaimer: If you are not aware, this blog is the personal blog (Erin Apelu) I set up 3 years ago to post pictures I took of my boys and their friends playing football. As the years passed I began including all the varsity (as many as possible with my non-professional camera) and continued to post them on this blog. While I am aware that many of you might not see your picture on this blog (if you were playing that night), rest assured we (Aryana and myself) do try and get as much of the team as we are able to. The pictures near the end of each post are usually of my family, my kids and some of their friends. I include them on these posts because it is easier for everyone to copy whatever pictures they want without me having to send them all individually. Thanks--Erin Apelu!

HOMECOMING at the GOLDEN LIVING CENTER--Tville Warriors Community Service

Last year the Taylorsville Warriors football and Cheerleaders (our fabulous Community Service Group) rang in the Christmas holiday with carols at the Golden Living Center Retirement Home in this great community.  To their astonishment, the kids had a fabulous time brining cheer to those 'Wiser' members of our community who are now enjoying their declining years at the Golden Living Center. Because the excitement that our visit brought, we were honored to be invited to their Sweethearts Ball in February. Our Community Service Group dressed head-to-toe in their sunday best and dazzled the Wiser Ones with conversation and dancing.  The smiles that donned the Community Service Group were witness enough that service does bring happiness.  Unfortunately, they held their prom simultaneously as ours, and we were unable to attend.

Fast-forward to the present. We were more than delighted to be invited to their Homecoming dance last night. To our surprise, Murray, Kearns, and Cottonwood kids joined us in this great celebration. Fun was had by all. We look forward to the Christmas ball (and caroling), Sweethearts, and Prom with those members of our community that laid the foundation for what we now enjoy so much in this great community of TAYLORSVILLE UTAH--the greatest community in the great State of Utah.
